3월 17일 아이폰(iPhone)과 아이팟 터치(iPod Touch)의 운영 체제인 iPhone OS의 새로운 버전이 발표되었다. 3.0인데 사실 정식 버전이 아니고 프리뷰 형태이다. 그래서인지 실제로 내려받아 설치할 수도 없다. 올여름에나 된다고 하고 그게 6월이란 말도 있다. 이제 정식 버전이 나오기를 기다리면 되는데, 아무리 좋은 기능이 추가되었다고 하더라도 탈옥(Jailbreak)은 과연 가능할는지 그렇다면 언제나 그럴 수 있는지가 더 기대된다.

탈옥을 담당하고 있는 Dev Team이 자신들의 공식 블로그 에 이에 대한 견해를 밝혔다.

With all of the great stuff lined up for us with the 3.0 OS that Apple described today, many 3G owners may find themselves with itchy update fingers. If you find yourself with access to the 3G IPSW for 3.0 via the iPhone Dev Center program, and you are using yellowsn0w, do not update or restore to that official IPSW. You will lose yellowsn0w and find yourself unable to revert the baseband to get it back.

And for those wondering, yes the 3.0 OS is jailbreakable on all devices. It’s just those using 3G yellowsn0w that have to show some restraint and wait for PwnageTool to create a custom IPSW that avoids the baseband update.

정식 버전이 나오는 순간 이것도 준비되어 있으면 좋겠다.

3월 17일 아이폰(iPhone)과 아이팟 터치(iPod Touch)의 운영 체제인 iPhone OS의 새로운 버전이 나온다고 미리부터 기대들이 많았다. 그리고 새로운 버전이 나왔다. 3.0인데 사실 정식 버전이 아니고 프리뷰 형태이다. 그래서인지 실제로 내려받아 설치할 수도 없다. 올여름에나 된다고 하고 그게 6월이란 말도 있다. 이런 것보다 더 놀라운 것은 기존 아이팟 터치 사용자들은 9.95달러의 비용을 지불하고 구입해 사용해야 한다는 것이다. 이전 펌웨어도 유료로 공급되기는 했지만, 일단 아이폰 사용자는 무료라고 한다. 다 좋은데 우리나라에서 유료 애플리케이션을 구매하기가 쉽지 않은 상황인데 잘 될지 모르겠다.
