CaN (Computer & Network) Tips

탭 브라우저로 유명한 Maxthon이 2007년 12월 28일자로 2.0.7.1245 버전이 나오고 거의 한 달이 지나 2008년 1월 31일에 2.0.8.1605 버전이 나왔다. 베타 버전이다. 가장 큰 변화는 인터넷 익스플로러 IE 툴바 및 확장 기능을 지원하기 시작한 것이다. 얼마 전 소개한 TheWorld Browser의 해당 기능(관련 기사 보기 )만큼은 아니지만 지원을 시작했다는 데 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

이번 버전에서 개선된 사항은 아래와 같다.

+ support sidebar (eg. powerband), toolbar, button type com plugins

* fixed problem that close button may be erroneously activated when many tabs on tab bar

* Can start Maxthon in Safe mode from crash dialog
* fixed some screen capture problems
* fixed a crash problem when url is dragged to a tab
* fixed problem that urls containing some special characters cannot be opened
* fixed problems on close tabs on the left/right
* fixed several memory leak problems
* fixed login dialog clean account data command problem
* fixed some shortcut commands
* fixed problem that URL Alias work in search bar
* fixed problem that file type empty in some save dialogs
* fixed problem that links in some websites cannot be opened by middle click
* fixed problem that site icon disappear in tab

가급적 사용하던 버전은 깨끗하게 삭제(uninstall)하고 새로 설치하여 사용하는 것이 좋다.

예전 글([Maxthon] 내 즐겨찾기를 USB 플래시 드라이브에 넣고 다니면서 사용하기[2007. 10. 2.] )에서 밝힌 바와 같이 PC에서 사용 중인 Maxthon 폴더 전체를 USB 등 외장 메모리로 복사하면 다른 곳에 가서도 그대로 자신의 환경 설정 값으로 웹 서핑을 할 수 있다.
